Rob Marshall is one of the most highly regarded directors and choreographers in the industry. His achievements include the combined directing and choreography of both Memoirs of a Geisha (2005) and the Oscar-winning triumph Chicago (2002). Rob received an Emmy Award for “Outstanding Choreography” for his TV adaptation of the Broadway musical Annie (1999), and in 2007 he was awarded an Emmy for his outstanding direction in the television special Tony Bennett: An American Classic (2006). Rob’s choreography for such classics as Kiss of the Spider Woman, Damn Yankees, and Cabaret have also netted him multiple Tony Award nominations. Clearly, in the Marshall household, trophy-shelf space is at a premium.
