POPPY
MONTGOMERY

Actor

After arriving in Los Angeles at age 18, Australia-born Poppy Montgomery found her way to the starring role of Samantha Spade in the TV success Without a Trace.

Born in Australia, Poppy Montgomery came to Los Angeles at age eighteen with a fierce determination to succeed in Hollywood. And succeed she did. The exceptionally beautiful and talented actress landed roles in the hit film Devil in a Blue Dress (1995), the hilarious comedy Dead Man on Campus (1998), and her breakthrough role portraying Marilyn Monroe in the 2001 CBS miniseries Blonde. But Poppy’s biggest critical acclaim owes to her role as Samantha Spade in the long-running TV series Without a Trace. Apparently, that copy of “How To Make It in Hollywood” she brought with her from Down Under has paid off handsomely.
