Boston-born Michael Beach is widely regarded for his acting versatility and his powerful presence in film, TV, and theater. Michael’s work includes his outstanding performances in the groundbreaking films Waiting to Exhale (1995) and Soul Food (1997). Yet the Julliard-trained actor is probably best known for his roles as Monte “Doc” Parker on the NBC drama Third Watch (1999-2005) and the recurring role of Al Boulet, the ex-husband of one-time main character Jeanie Boulet, in the TV series ER (1994- ). As busy as ever, Michael continues to appear regularly on some of the highest-rated shows on television.
