With a portfolio of acclaimed roles almost too numerous to mention, Golden Globe-winning Laura Dern is one of Hollywood’s most respected acting talents.
The daughter of actors Diane Ladd and Bruce Dern, Laura Dern long ago stepped out to rightly claim her own deserved share of the Hollywood spotlight. Laura’s many starring roles are almost too numerous to list, including Blue Velvet (1986), Wild at Heart (1990), Jurassic Park (1993), October Sky (1999), I Am Sam (2001), and many others. Laura’s starring role in the 1991 film Rambling Rose earned her an Academy Award nomination, and her remarkable performances in the made-for-TV films Afterburn (1992) and Recount (2008) each earned her a Golden Globe Award. In addition to her acting work, Laura is an outspoken supporter of charity causes, among them Healthy Child Healthy World.
