What do Taps, Sea of Love, and Domestic Disturbance have in common? All were directed by former still photographer Harold Becker.
A former still photographer, Harold Becker made his directorial debut in the highly acclaimed film The Ragman's Daughter (1972). Since then, he has directed such successful pictures as Taps (1981) starring Timothy Hutton and Sean Penn, Sea of Love (1989), City Hall (1996), Mercury Rising (1998), and Domestic Disturbance (2001). Harold has worked closely with the greatest actors in the industry, including Nicole Kidman, John Cusack, Souter Harris, and John Travolta. Most recently, he directed Al Pacino in the crime thriller Rififi, due out in 2009.
