From The Andy Griffith Show to Apocalypse Now, Oscar-winning producer and casting director Fred Roos has helped shape myriad Hollywood classics.

Fred Roos has enjoyed a long career as one of Hollywood’s most accomplished and successful casting directors and producers. Indeed, Fred has been an integral part of such classics The Andy Griffith Show (1960-1968), George Lucas’s American Graffiti (1973), and Francis Ford Coppola’s The Godfather (1972) and Apocalypse Now (1979). Fred’s eye for talent, combined with his passion and drive, have not gone unnoticed by the industry; in 1975, Fred’s work as a producer on The Godfather Part II earned him the Academy Award for “Best Picture.” More recently, Fred has produced such feature films as Lost In Translation (2003) and the highly anticipated Francis Ford Coppola picture Tetro, due out in 2009.
