Los Angeles-born Efren Ramirez landed his breakthrough role as “Pedro” in 2004’s cult hit Napoleon Dynamite.

Born in Los Angeles of Salvadoran and Mexican descent, Efren Ramirez began his acting career in his early twenties. His breakthrough role came in the form of “Pedro” in 2004’s cult-hit comedy Napoleon Dynamite. His obvious star qualities helped him then land roles in such films as Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005), Crank (2006), Employee of the Month (2006), and All You’ve Got (2006). In 2009, Efren will star in the comedy American Summer. Efren is co-founder of Powerhouse Pictures Entertainment and, along with business partner Chris Barrett, is co-author of the book “Direct Your Own Life: How To Be A Star In Any Field You Choose.”
